Injection Rate Gauges
The easiest and most effective way to measure chemical pump injection rates is with a chemical injection rate gauge. Injection rates can be measured in Litres or Quarts per 24 hours by measuring the numbers of divisions injected per minute.

How to Determine and Set Injection Rate
- Isolate the supply/storage tank from the pump with a valve.
- With the pump supply coming solely from the gauge, observe the change in fluid height after one minute. Count the number of divisions pumped on the rate scale during the one minute test, this will give you the actual chemical injection rate over a 24 hour period. Example: 1 Division per minute = 1 Litre per Day (24 Hours)
- Adjust the injection rate by making the necessary adjustments to the pump stroke rate and/or stroke length. Perform as many one minute tests as necessary to set the pump to the desired chemical injection rate. Note: Test length can be shortened to 30 seconds or 15 seconds for higher pump rates, or lengthened to 2 minutes for lower pump rates if necessary, as long as the recorded values are adjusted to match a one minute duration.
